Grounded Modern Estate
Grounded in the history of the dry stacked stone walls of the “Californio” cowboys and cattle ranchers,. Site stone lead the way setting the rambling and following home across the landscape. With a house set in brown and bronze surrounded by California golden grass and majestic oaks the planting needed to flow through this expansive space complimenting both the home and the existing native landscape. The walls of dry stack, and boulders set the tone and ornamental grasses call to there indigenous cousins while also sowing beautifully against the dark chocolate wood and steel home. The front entry gate, welcomes one with modern touches of grey entry columns and a blonde cedar gate that is followed with privacy fencing in selected areas of the project. The driveway and parking court is a light gravel softness, with broad concrete steppers leading to an understated steel trough, with bronze spouts, set in linesman backing. This focal point leads your visit to the front door.
Once inside the house has views of the garden and countryside below. The is an immediate invitation to step out on the north east patio to visit the pool, and refined outdoor kitchen and lounge spaces. the kids and dogs will love the natural drought tolerant lawns set against the giant boulder walls, flowering trees, grasses, and flowering accents. The bocce court pulls one out further into the landscape with a grand backdrop of rugged coast live oaks.
